Product Description
Yamagata Haenuki is a premium rice from Yamagata Prefecture in Japan, prized for its clean flavor, soft texture and lightly sticky structure. This rice is perfect for sushi, traditional Japanese home-style dishes, donburi, curry, and as a side for fish, meat and vegetables. Haenuki retains its excellent flavor and texture even when cooled, making it perfect for bento boxes as well.
Cooking Instructions
- Rinse 200 g rice in cold running water 4–5 times.
- Drain the rice.
- Add approximately 280 g water.
- Soak the rice for 30–60 minutes.
- Cook in a rice cooker or according to Japanese rice cooking instructions.
- Let rest for 10 minutes after cooking before serving.

Storage
Store dry, cool and protected from direct sunlight. Once opened, the rice should be stored in an airtight container and consumed as soon as possible.
