Huahai Shunda Red Sichuan Pepper is a classic Chinese spice with a fresh citrusy aroma and a characteristic tingling, slightly numbing sensation in the mouth. It is often used in Sichuan dishes and is particularly suitable for wok, hot pot, noodles, meat, and spice blends.
Usage
Lightly toast the peppercorns in a dry frying pan to enhance the aroma. Use them whole in stews and hot pot or grind them into powder. The hard black seeds can be sorted out before use.
